Oh, how I love it when an architect is allowed to make something special out of what normally would be an anonymously shaped structure hidden out of sight. The architects J. Mayer H. must have been thrilled to be given such an assignment.

How I love it when a company dealing with relatively “boring” subjects such as water and sewage actually goes the extra mile and allow creative design for a utility building which in 99% would look like rectangular block without any windows.
This Booster Station-Zuid (by Group A architects) is located in a fairly dreary part of Amsterdam with little highlights and mostly traffic (lots of it). I have gone past it so many times and have taken pictures of it (with my phone), but never captured it so purely as these photographers have.
